I wrote “Friend” in December of 2022 after experiencing a moment where I had truly felt known and seen. A close friend of mine called out my name in the grocery store when I was having a rough day and she prayed for me right then and there in the checkout line.
This song is inspired by all of my close relationships. I am forever grateful they call me, “Friend.” It expresses my desire to be the same for them. I hope that this encourages you on your journey of cultivating steady and healthy friendships as well.

“Motherhood is a beautiful journey...my heart is taking in these precious moments.”
Since the birth of her son in February of 2021 there hasn’t been a dull moment. Healing, recovery, and self-growth were the themes of 2021. 2022 will be a year of endurance as she reaches new goals.
Margot and her daughter have a special surprise coming up soon. They will be collaborating on a popular nursery rhyme song.

Her first christmas song is out now!
We all need a little peace during this time. I’m grateful that I could release a Christmas tune this year, because it definitely breaks up the focus on the lullaby project. It just felt right to even start decorating before Thanksgiving during this global pandemic, along with listening to Spotify Christmas Playlist cheer!
On November 11th, 2020 Margot felt inspiration for another project. So, she reached out to her Videographer and pitched the filming idea to her.
Margot recorded the song on November 18, 2020. The song features both cello and acoustic guitar, in addition to Margot’s vocals.
The concern was there, since Margot was 26 weeks pregnant, about filming in colder weather. Well, planning ahead is always a great idea! The weather turned out to be in the upper 50’s with sunshine and small gusts of wind.

The Story behind the Song:
Curiosity was written in the summer of 2019 after I had experienced and overcome a really tough season of Post-Partum adjustment. It was then that I began to discover my worth as a new mama. The song explores moments of seeing my daughter reach milestones, her personality develop, and how she always brightened up my day! She gives me so much purpose. The process of embracing motherhood encouraged my heart, so one night I snuck into our home office and recorded part of the song. I'm learning so much on this lullaby journey.
May this song empower and uplift you as you raise a strong, smart, and loved daughter.

The Story behind the Song:
Margot received inspiration from a friend to consider creating a lullaby album when she was pregnant with her first child. These songs come from an intimate place, in fact, her first single was “birthed” a few days after her daughter was born. The chorus just flowed out of her mouth and she then recorded it into her voice memo. the song features her lifelong friend, roxanne, who played flute on Margot’s first released single.
