Her first christmas song is out now! We all need a little peace during this time. I’m grateful that I could release a Christmas tune this year, because it definitely breaks up the focus on the lullaby project. It just felt right to even start decorating before Thanksgiving during this global pandemic, along with listening to Spotify Christmas Playlist cheer! On November 11th, 2020 Margot felt inspiration for another project. So, she reached out to her Videographer and pitched the filming idea to her. Margot recorded the song on November 18, 2020. The song features both cello and acoustic guitar, in addition to Margot’s vocals. The concern was there, since Margot was 26 weeks pregnant, about filming in colder weather. Well, planning ahead is always a great idea! The weather turned out to be in the upper 50’s with sunshine and small gusts of wind. The YouTube Music Video premiered on December 10th, 2020. Since I was a little girl, I’ve always wanted to be a singer. My defining moment was at 14, when my pastor pulled me aside after performing a Rachael Lampa song at a talent showcase. He said: “God has given you a gift. Keep using it.” I followed through and involved myself with music ministry opportunities throughout my youth. Later, I dabbled in writing poems and “mini” songs. But a mission trip to S.E. Asia in 2013 really started me to focus. The leader of our team suggested I write and record a song to raise funds. So, I did. “Love Without Limits” was co-written with my friend, Shelly Head. I continued singing, gigging with friends at coffee shops, and balancing life as a Millennial and social worker.
